The best positive is the lack of ducts.
I relied on a central HVAC unit for years. I was never a fan of it. I really hated being stuck with ductwork. In my opinion, ductwork is just awful. The ducts are dust collectors. If you remodel or just live in your house, dust, dirt, pet dander, and pollen are being sucked up. Then you breathe in that contaminated air over and over again. You can hire out ductwork cleaning, sometimes the professionals cause more harm than good. They can cause a crack or tear in the duct that promotes huge energy loss. They can also damage the rest of your house hoping to access the ductwork. Once my central heating and cooling system died, I started hunting around for ductless options. I found that a ductless heat pump was ideal. With this device I get both heating and cooling in a single system. I also get huge energy savings. How a heat pump works is transferring the heat energy either inside or outside of your home. No burning of fuels or combustion process. It is green, clean, and very efficient. There are huge tax benefits, indoor air quality perks, and you save every month of use. The high initial price tag of a heat pump pays itself back quickly. The best positive is the lack of ducts. I just have multiple indoor air handlers throughout my house. I have a wifi thermostat associated with each. I can have customized zones that I change throughout the day. The thermostats don’t have my device turn on unless I am even home.
